"Are you part of the INN crowd or one of the STABLE ones?"

It's Christmas Day and my heart turns to the remembrance of a child born more that 2,000 years ago. Born in a lowly stable... because there was no room in the inn. I ponder what that means to me today... perhaps every time we open our hearts to help another soul we figuratively make room in the "Inn". It's so important to be a steady force for good... one of my sons likes to say... "Know the Lord so well, that others will know Him because they know you." I think that pretty much sums up our responsibility to those around us. Know the Lord... Know Him well... share what you know is both word and action. Be one of the STABLE ones... one the Lord can count on.

Let Him In...

Amidst the hustle-bustle of the wonderful Christmas Season I try to remind myself often of the reason I am busy decorating my house... baking so many yummy goodies... and shopping for some very special people in my life. It all comes down to the silver thread that weaves itself through my life with repeated constancy... "Christ"... and this is the time of year we celebrate his birth. Everything I do to create the spirit of warmth and love in my home is to reflect my love for my Lord and Savior. Making room for Him in my Home and Heart is what matters most to me this time of year.
